Ludington State Park & Campgrounds

Perhaps this is the greatest Campground in Michigan

  • 2 Beaches: 1 on an inland lake (Lake Hamlin) and 1 on Lake Michigan
  • Trails
  • Nature Center
  • Dam
  • Great scenic views of a lighthouse, sand dunes and Lake Michigan
  • Showers, hot water (maybe a bit too hot :) )
  • Store
  • Firewood for sale
  • Electrical hookups
  • Boat Launch
  • Paved bike path from the campgrounds to the beaches

Nearby attractions

  • There are a couple of disk golf courses in the area, one of them has three courses!
  • Also nearby, if you would like to get a look at it, is Ludington Pumped Storge Plant. This is a hydroelectric powerplant and a reservoir.
  • Ice cream place is down the road.

Campgrounds

Three separate campground areas with

a river that runs into Lake Michigan by the beach. You can swim in the river.
